The "Concerto Etnográfico ECOS DA PLANÍCIE" is a live concert exploring Alentejo and Portuguese musical identity, part of Elvas's 21st "Mês da Música" (Month of Music) initiative. Its title, "Ecos da Planície", comes from a soundtrack by Luís Zagalo for a film about Alentejo identity.
The Ensemble Ibérico performs, joined by guest singer Luís Trigacheiro, whose voice is considered one of the best expressions of Alentejo in contemporary Portugal. The Coro Juvenil da Academia de Música de Elvas also participates. The programme features Alentejo cante, traditional songs, and authorial compositions. The concert evokes themes of memory, longing, and the land, alongside cultural strength passed down through generations, all within the renovated Auditório São Mateus - Elvas, which seats 211.
