Escárnio + Traz os Monstros
Friday, 20 November 2026 at 22:00 · Oficina Municipal Do Teatro | O Teatrão (Coimbra), Coimbra · €6
This double bill concert is part of the "Música na Tabacaria" series at Oficina Municipal do Teatro, which champions new national music by emerging Portuguese projects.
The night opens with Traz os Monstros, a Coimbra band formed in 2021. Their raw and visceral sound crosses post-rock and noise rock, with songs addressing Portuguese reality and contemporary anxieties. Following them is Escárnio, a project led by Violeta Luz, which combines noisy guitars with lyrics about revolt and women's experiences, with a sound described as "clenched teeth against the world."
The concert takes place at Oficina Municipal Do Teatro | O Teatrão (Coimbra), specifically in the Tabacaria, a ground-floor hall with various configuration possibilities. It starts at 10pm, and tickets are €6.
