Aaron Parks brings a new trio to Casa da Música, bringing together two of the most striking voices on the European scene: Danish double bassist Anders Christensen, a musician highlighted for his work with Paul Motian and for a lyrical and deeply intentional approach to the instrument; and Portuguese drummer André Sousa Machado, whose musical complicity with the pianist developed in Lisbon. Christensen and Machado have never played together. Parks brings these distinct voices together for the first time in a concert that includes his original compositions and some jazz standards.
