The Blessed Madonna (USA) Next Decemeber 5th we host The Blessed Madonna, a day that marks our official 20th anniversary. The Blessed Madonna, born Marea Stamper, is an American DJ, producer and musician, renowned for her genre-defying sets that blend house, disco and techno with an infectious sense of joy that leaves no one standing still. Emerging from the Midwest US rave scene, she made history in 2016 by becoming the first woman to win Mixmag's DJ of the Year award. A Kentucky native, Marea began her career in the late 1990s, selling mixtapes from the boot of her car before becoming a resident DJ and the first woman to serve as music curator at Chicago's legendary Smartbar. Her career has since taken her to the stages of the world's leading festivals and to high-profile collaborations with major pop artists. In 2020, she gained widespread acclaim for curating and remixing Club Future Nostalgia, Dua Lipa's acclaimed remix album, which featured contributions from icons including Madonna and Missy Elliott.
