Village Underground Lisboa hosts an unmissable double bill bridging the international scene with the finest local alternative rock. Two visions of alternative rock and cinematic music meet on the same stage — from Paris/London’s fuzzed-out post-punk to Lisbon’s hypnotic soundscapes. ANDY ANDY is the debut solo project of songwriter and performer Louisa Pili. Founding member of UK’s Black Market Karma, Louisa spent over a decade touring the UK indie/psychedelic scene alongside artists including The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Raised between Paris and London, ANDY now steps into a more personal territory with her debut record, URCHIN (recorded in Paris and produced under the guidance of Jared Artaud from The Vacant Lots). ANDY’s sound navigates the fragile border between a late-night confession and a post-punk confrontation: imagine Ennio Morricone stepping into a downtown New York underground bar at four in the morning, interrupted by bursts of fuzz guitars and an orchestra of 80s synths.
