EUPNEA /BÔ JAZZ FEST 2.ª ED.
Wednesday, 18 November 2026 at 21:00 · Teatro Municipal De Bragança, Bragança · €6
The EUPNEA ensemble, led by singer and composer Vera Morais, presents a jazz concert as part of the BÔ JAZZ FEST 2.ª ED. Their music explores the connections between voices and flutes, focusing on elements like timbre, tessitura, and sound production. The group has been described as a "human pipe organ", emphasising sonic interdependence. The result is a new kind of chamber music, described as unpretentious, human, and immersive.
Vera Morais, the Portuguese singer, improviser, and composer who received the "Emerging Artist of the Year" award in 2024, leads the group. She is joined by Latvian vocalist and pianist Liva Dumpe, whose debut album was nominated for two Latvian music awards, along with ensemble members Sarah Van Eijk, a Dutch vocalist and flutist, and Latvian flutist Ketija Ringa-Karahona. The ensemble released its self-titled debut album in February 2026.
This live concert takes place at Teatro Municipal De Bragança from 9pm. Tickets are €6.
