Since his debut in 2023, his sets have felt pulled from the deep, anchored by hypnotic kicks, ethereal synths, and a lingering sense of tension. Beneath the surface, his sound is shaped by the warmth of Latin rhythm, wrapped in the cold shimmer of 90s synthesizers, and stitched together by a cocktail of trance-laced sonorities. Rooted in acid house, dark disco, and the mechanical soul of Detroit techno, wex’s sound balances restraint and release, rawness and elegance. He doesn’t play for the peak. He plays for the tension before it, for the strange beauty in the buildup. Euphoria doesn’t break in—it bleeds through. He is a resident DJ at both the POV collective and Sóbrio Bar in Bairro Alto, contributing to the pulse of Lisbon’s evolving underground.
