Lambchop An Evening with Lambchop
Thursday, 19 November 2026 at 21:00 · Culturgest - Auditório Emílio Rui Vilar, Lisbon · €28
Lambchop present a live concert for their 17th studio album, "Punching the Clown," released in August 2026. This European tour features intimate piano shows from the American band, known for their unclassifiable hybrid of country, soul, jazz, electronics, and avant-garde noise.
The performance style is stripped-back, allowing songs to stretch, shift, and transform with space, electronics, and improvisation. The new album sees Lambchop return to folk and country sounds, incorporating two gospel choirs. Frontman Kurt Wagner, the band's sole constant member since 1986, brings his subtly ambiguous songwriting and understated vocals. He is joined by Andrew Broder, a close collaborator on recent albums, on keyboards.
This evening takes place in the attractive, wood-panelled Culturgest - Auditório Emílio Rui Vilar. The concert begins at 9pm. Tickets are €28.
