A CONTRÁRIA and GHOST CREATIVE PRODUCTIONS present the national premiere of the Mexican band Mixanteña de Santa Cecilia, followed by a DJ set by Erika Fatna, on July 30th at B.Leza. Mixanteña de Santa Cecilia is a brass band that offers a festive musical experience inspired by the tradition of Costa Chica de Guerrero and Oaxaca. Through chilenas, boleros, cumbias, merequetengues and more, the band transforms each stage into a space for collective celebration, where dance, joy and closeness with the audience are protagonists. Their proposal recovers an oral tradition linked to celebrations, affections and the daily life of the people. Marking 15 years of history, their first European tour, with a stop at WOMAD UK, brings a living expression to Lisbon that unites party, memory and community. The night continues with Erika Fatna, a DJ from Liechtenstein with Moroccan and Congolese ancestry. Rooted in Lisbon for several years, she is already an established figure in our music scene and co-founder of the Alvine space. With a soulful and worldly selection, her eclectic sound fuses Disco, Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz and electronic music, in a fluid and always fun musical journey.
