Proibidão Baile Funk is a club night focused on Proibidão, a subgenre of funk carioca that originated in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro in the 1990s. This recurring event series promises heavy, unfiltered funk all night long, featuring raw live vocals, Miami bass structures, and lyrics that often promote gangs, crime, drug use, and violence.
The night takes place at Titanic Sur Mer, a lively event space with maritime-inspired decor, located in a warehouse near Cais do Sodré on the scenic riverfront.
